The Learning Farm (www.thelearningfarm.com) is an award-winning nonprofit farm in Cipanas that runs a residential program dedicated to helping marginalized youth through organic farming. Each program takes in40 young men and women aged 15 –24 years for 4 months. It teaches these vulnerable youth not only about organic farming but also basic life skills to build and sharpen their character in terms of discipline, responsibility, caring, respect and how to become functioning members of society again. The farm this year celebrates its seventh successful year.
