INTime Equips Cast Members of The Highly-Anticipated Actioner “The Raid 2: Berandal”

Jakarta, March 2014 — INTime with renowned Swiss watch brands Hamilton & Corum have secured starring roles in Gareth Evans’ upcoming action film “The Raid 2: Berandal”. The brands equip cast members with signature timepieces, landing on the wrists of the lead and supporting actors.

Hamilton watches once again shares the action-packed spotlight with martial art actor Iko Uwais in Merantau Films’ The Raid 2: Berandal together with the Swiss fine watchmaker Corum who is making its debut in the film. The film also stars Tio Pakusadewo, Cok Simbara, Arifin Putra, Oka Antara, Alex Abbad and Roy Marten.

Iko Uwais’ character, Rama, wears a Hamilton timepiece in the first The Raid film, Redemption, but in the upcoming film, he dons the timeless classic Hamilton Pan-Europ which features an automatic chronograph dedicated to the fascinating theme of changing times. Originally introduced in 1971, the design of the watch takes a nostalgic look over its shoulder, while its functionality celebrates modernity to the full and equips the action hero with the sophistication to save the day.

In the film, another timepiece of Hamilton, the modern Khaki X-Patrol is worn by Oka Antara’s character, Eka, which features an advanced conversion table that provides units in both metric and imperial systems. Arifin Putra’s character, Uco is wearing the Jazzmaster Viewmatic with a silver metal bracelet and a black dial. It is made from stainless steel and is powered by an automatic movement.

Jazzmaster Lord Auto Chrono is seen on the wrist of Cok Simbara’s character Bunawar. This premium timepiece is designed with Swiss precision and American spirit at heart for a sophisticated take on a typical Hamilton design.

Making its first appearance in the movie, Swiss fine watchmaker Corum introduces Admiral’s Cup Legend 42 & Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive worn by Kenichi Endo who plays the Yakuza member Goto. Comes in a leather strap, Admiral’s Cup Legend 42, and 18-carat gold case. Featuring an automatic movement with a power reserve of 42 hours, the case has been redesigned with more strongly curved and rounded lugs, while the sapphire case back allows a view of the calibre CO395 movement inside, suitable for the antagonist character. Admiral’s Cup Seafender 48 Deep Dive features helium valve, its secure rotating bezel and its hyper-luminescent hour-markers make this imposing and sophisticated watch a genuine instrument for professionals.

The film reunites writer/director Gareth Evans with actor Iko Uwais, who will be reprising his starring role. Picking up where The Raid/The Raid: Redemption left off, Rama (Iko Uwais) leaves the high-rise behind in order to infiltrate a Jakarta crime syndicate with the intentions of protecting his family and unearthing the corruption within his police force.

The Raid 2: Berandal is a sequel from its first movie, The Raid premiered worldwide at The 30th Annual Sundance Film Festival 2014. At its world premiere, The Raid 2 Berandal was screened at Eccles Teater, Park City, Utah on January 21st, 2014.

“This has been the project that we have been waiting to start since 2009. The Raid 2: Berandal is a much bigger production involving a variety of action scenes that were not used in The Raid,” said Executive Producer R. Maya Barack-Evans. “We are thrilled about the continuing support from Hamilton, also very excited about the participation of Corum as one of our amazing sponsors on this project. We are very much looking forward to its launching in 2014 with much awesome action for our fans to enjoy. “

The Raid 2 Berandal is going to be premiered at Indonesian cinemas on 28 March 2014, which coincides with the US release.
